Trammell's Health & Fitness Tips - Health, Fitness, Nutrition & Training Tips to Keep you Healthy and Motivated
Protein is essential for building and repairing muscles, red blood cells, hair and other tissues. Protein is also necessary for synthesizing hormones.
Protein is digested into 22 amino acids. Of these 22 amino acids, 13 are manufactured by our bodies. Since the human body cannot manufacture the other 9 amino acids, they are known as essential.
A complete protein such as fish, supplies these essential amino acids. An incomplete protein lacks one or more of the essential amino acids. These incomplete proteins are generally from plants, fruits, grains, and vegetables.
