Hypertension is a common health problem,afflicting americans everywhere and has tripled in kids in the last 30 years. It is a major risk factor for the development of the heart disease,stroke,kidney failure and congestive heart failure. Here is a list of what causes hypertension.
- High sodium intake
- high dietary saturated fat intake
- cigarette smoking
- heavy alcohol consumption
- obesity
- high stress lifestyle
- physical inactivity
So when you are considered hypertensive your blood pressure is usually 140/90 or higher. You want to be 120/80 or even a little lower to stay and remain healthy.
