Burnouts For The Ultimate Lactic Acid Build Up
Burnouts For The Ultimate Lactic Acid Build Up
Ever thought of pushing your body past that comfort zone? Tired of doing the same routine over and over again? Need to break out that plateau?
What you do is do burnouts to exhaustion where your muscles are so tight and fatigued you can't do anymore reps.
For example you can go from heavy weight to light weight or light weight to heavy weight with as many reps as you can for that total lactic acid build up!
For biceps grab 45 pound dumbbells and do as many reps as you can with no rest, and then 35 pounds dumbbells as many reps as you can, and then 25 pounds dumbbells as many reps as you can, and so forth all the way to down to 5 pounds, and that is your bicep workout!
You can do this with any muscle you choose to do, but I would not do the same muscle every week because exercising this intense can cause severe injuries. You can can do this type of training on the same muscle every other week or once a month depending on your fitness level.
So doing burnouts gives you that ultimate lactic acid build up which is a point during exhaustion, all out exercise at which lactic acid builds up in the bloodstream faster than the body can remove it. Lactic acid is a by-product of the anaerobic energy pathway, a process which provides energy to the muscles by partially breaking down glucose, which is sugar without the need for oxygen.
